Maldives

One thing that I didn't anticipate was that on a remote island you only have what you have. I can try to order things...but they may never show up. If they do make it, it may take a month or a year-- and in the meantime you need to come up with another way to get from point A to B.  Eventually you meet the engineers and builders who together endure this same fate and do amazing things with the limited resources available. This is the incredible spirit of ingenuity that carries humans forward in all conditions. 

This is a really unique thing about the studio we created at Soneva; whereas most recycled glass applications mix colors of glass (green or brown in the end) or only use the bottle glass which has limitations on workability for furnace processes-- We made recycled glass that is clear and can be combined with any color process that also has great workability.
